Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Loviu AI LLC ("Loviu", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data when you use Loviu (the "Service").

1. Controller

Loviu AI LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal data processed through the Service. You can reach us at support@loviu.app.

2. Personal Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email, password hash, profile picture, language preference.
  • Content you provide: messages, voice recordings, screenshots, goals, and memories you save in the Service.
  • Usage & telemetry: features used, message counts, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, log timestamps.
  • Support communications: messages you send to support.
  • Payment-related data: processed by Paddle (see Section 5). We receive subscription status, plan, and customer/subscription identifiers, not full card details.

3. Purposes & Legal Bases

  • Provide the Service (account creation, AI responses, memory features) — performance of our contract with you.
  • Customer support — performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in helping users.
  • Security, abuse prevention, fraud detection — legitimate interests and legal obligation.
  • Service improvement & analytics — legitimate interests (aggregated/limited data).
  • Billing & tax compliance — performance of our contract and legal obligation, primarily via Paddle.
  • Marketing communications — consent, where required. You can opt out at any time.

4. AI Processing

Messages and content you submit are sent to our AI model providers solely to generate responses. We instruct providers not to use your content to train their models where this option is available. Do not submit sensitive personal data you would not want analyzed by an AI system.

5. Sharing — Including Paddle as Merchant of Record

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients, under appropriate contracts:

  • Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, AI model providers, email, analytics, and customer support tooling.
  • Paddle (Merchant of Record): Paddle.com Market Limited processes your purchases, manages subscriptions, calculates and remits taxes, sends invoices, and handles refunds and chargebacks. See Paddle's Privacy Notice.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and audit firms as needed.
  • Authorities: where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above: account data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward; billing and tax records as required by law; security logs for a limited period. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to portability, and to withdraw consent. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@loviu.app. We respond within the period required by law, typically within one month.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.

10. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for authentication and remembering your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. Where analytics cookies are used, we ask for consent in regions that require it.

12. Changes

We may update this Notice from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email.
